Over the past decade, Pacific InterWest has built and expanded its complement of services to help builders and developers achieve a higher level of product quality and implement best construction practices. Pacific InterWest Building Consultants, Inc. (PIWBCI), engages in the practice of risk management through architectural peer reviews and third-party construction inspections. We work closely with builders and building owners, and their insurance carriers to implement on-site programs of Best Construction Practices.

PIWBCI is licensed as a general engineering and building contractor in California. Our team of field inspectors all have extensive experience in single- and multifamily construction and are ICC-certified building inspectors. Many of our inspectors hold commercial and trade-specific certifications.

Pacific InterWest Energy Consultants, Inc. (PIWECI), provides builders with the services necessary to comply with California’s energy code requirements. Our professional and courteous team of HERS raters are certified by both CHEERS and CalCERTS, and have a minimum of six years’ experience in the field. We provide a full menu of HERS testing services, including duct leakage testing, refrigerant charge and air flow, air balancing, CF2R and CF3R forms, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and Quality Insulation Installation (QII), and guarantee same day registry entry for all HERS testing. Along with a full menu of services to test the energy efficiency of your projects, we also offer complete California Title 24 modeling and reporting, and can process your 45L energy tax credits.

Pacific InterWest Apartment Inspection Services (PIWAIS) provides turnkey inspection and consulting services for apartment and condo owners to comply with the requirements of California Senate Bill 721 (SB721) and Senate Bill 326 (SB326). As a partner company with Pacific InterWest Building Consultants, PIWAIS draws on the extensive experience of architects, inspectors, consultants, and industry experts within PIW to execute a complete program for apartment owners from an initial evaluation through design and repairs as well as compiling all data records to prepare for the next inspection cycle (six years for SB721 and nine years for SB326). PIWAIS’s mission is to assist property owners in navigating through the extensive logistical and procedural challenges of SB721 and SB326 to complete the inspection, reporting, and repair processes efficiently and effectively.
